vacation to italy.... little italy.

it's mid winter and i was needing a change of venue. luckily auntie B was planning her own change of venue, so i shopped around and found a nice B&B in little italy.

i packed up my belongings and a few changes of clothes and headed out to salina street.

the B&B owners are very nice and accommodating. Their swanky pad is right in the heart of the city. close enough to armory square that we can walk over for tea and what have you.

i've really been living the life over here and am sad that my time is coming to an end tomorrow, but i have a feeling they will leave a light on for me.

Auntie B went away again this weekend. I went to her coworkers house in f'ville. It was heavenly. I got so much attention, mostly because schroeder hd to stay home, SUCKA! I went for walks, got massages... it was so nice.

wow, that schroeder is such a copy cat. first of all he follows auntie B where ever she goes. secondly, yesterday when it was his turn to go to the vet, he whined and cried the whole time he was in his travel cage. BUT when auntie B left it open on the ottoman, he goes in it all day/night, like he likes it now.. he's just copying my every move. its so annoying. what does he think i'm his mother?! next he'll start eating dog bones and barking.

so i've been ousted as the only animal in auntie Bs house. she went and got a cat. he's a sickly little guy though, so i don't know if it's permanent. he does a lot of sleep and sneezing. every once and a while auntie B gives him some delicious food out of a can and the dumb thing doesn't even eat it all. i am glad to lend a hand when that happens. so i guess he's not all that bad.

auntie B walked me tonight all the way down to the library.. i usually only get a 10 minute walk around the block.

why didn't anyone ask me about this? now all my shade is gone. i'm going to boil outside when auntie B leaves me outside all day on the weekends. not to mention the family of squirrels that are now homeless..

i just had a nice visit with grammy and grampy, or at least i *thought* i did.. i over heard grammy telling auntie B that i broke their rusty old railing. pshaw! i don't know who would believe that a 6.5 pound dog could "break" a railing off a porch. come on now. that's a tall tail if i've ever heard one. grammy's nose is growing.

this evening i took advantage of auntie Bs trust, and when she let me off me run to go in the house i took off across and up the street. auntie B followed me for about a block, then when she gave up i decided to come back. i just wanted to taunt my neighbors who are not smart enough to escape.

i have already been walked 4 times in 3 days though. that is quite heavenly.

i've been in syracuse now for over a year. i really love being an only dog. people fawn over me, and want to steal me. for example last week i went to work with auntie B, you would have thought i was lassie.. everyone wanted to touch me, and take me home.

i had a spa day last weekend. auntie B took me to petsmart. i look like a little soft bear now.

the cleaning lady said my nails were decently short except for a couple which surprised auntie B.

auntie B got a bonus at work this week, so she promised me i could get my hair cut this weekend. i'm a shaggy mess. i look like cousin IT.

we went for a walk last night in the snow. i was having a ball.. i don't know why auntie B won't let me just run like i want to... pisses me right off.

my gift to grammy and grampy was well received, and they were very surprised.. i couldn't watch another show on that green television in grammys room... so i waited for an lcd to come up on the woot and bought them a 32" HD flat screen. they update their electronics about once a decade, so they should get my money's worth out of this one....

auntie B finally took me for a walk today. it started raining about 1.5 minutes into the walk and she tried to turn around, but i was not having any of that.. i ran my furry little legs off down the street, i was sprinting the whole walk. god it's good to get outside.

i came across this fierce looking siamese cat on the walk home, i started running after her, and she stopped and started inching closer to me. she wasn't even scared. well, auntie B stopped to take a picture, and when she let me get close enough that bitch cat swiped at me and had me crying out like a skerd little girl.

auntie B, KW and i went to green lakes to watch JM run 60+ miles. we saw him on the trail around the big lake twice. he didn't even look tired. i was the center of attention all day though, many people stopped to pet my wet fur. i jumped up on everyone with my dirty, dirty muddy paws. i also scared off all the other dogs that were threatening to take attention away from me.

i dipped my paws in the water a couple of times, it was rather warm.

today auntie B took me to the vet for my 2nd lyme disease booster. i was sooo skerd! more skerd than when there are thunderstorms. i cried.

after i was poked with a needle, auntie B drove me down to city hall and registered me. phew!! now if i get picked up by the police, they won't put me in the pound, and then kill me.

today grammy took me to the dr. i haven't been in over a year. i peed on the floor three times in the waiting room and once again in the exam room. grammy tried to talk the dr out of giving me shots for heartworm and lyme disease, but the good dr insisted. i lose half a pound, now i'm back to what i weighed in high school, 6.5 lbs. i'm looking good!!

sometimes auntie B doesn't give me her undivided attention, so when she is not looking i try to dig my way to china, via her bathroom rug. my nails are so sharp and i am so persistent that all the red fibers pull out of the rug and get all over the bathroom and hallway.

i got her 3 times last week.

that will teach auntie B to spend her whole evening on her computer.

this weekend my mom and dad came to visit me.. and they brought my replacement..

it was actually kind of nice, because she drops almost all of her food, so i got all kinds of treats.

the fireworks have been scaring me.. i follow auntie B to every different room when she is home.

auntie B is going away this weekend, so i get to go on a bit of a retreat to grammy and grampy's house. i love going there because they give in to my begging and i get all kinds of good food.

this past week when i was outside for my morning fresh air an unleashed strange dog wandered into my driveway.. i would have torn him apart if auntie B hadn't pulled me inside. i want another shot at that trespasser.. i need to be more vigilant about marking my territory.

auntie B bought me a new necklace this weekend, and another bed, and another water bowl. she is making me stay in the basement while she is away at work.. i am still refusing to go to the bathroom on her potty pad. this morning i twisted that thing up in a big twisty mess.

we took a walk today even though it was snowing a little. i was glad, i love walking.

it's been so long since i've posted, a lot has changed... i can't seem to resist peeing in the hallway during the day while auntie B is at work, so this morning she barricaded me up in the kitchen. i was able to hold it though, i refuse to go on those papers.. i'll show her.

yesterday auntie b and batman hung a huge shelf above my couch and this evening i saw a wooden man with a thorny crown in the shelf. i don't like the looks of him. i let him know i am on to him.

last weekend auntie b took me back to PA.. i was happy to see my mommy, but i was not happy to see that pain in the ass linus. she was all up in my shit from the moment i arrived. i tried telling her not to F with me, i was not in the mood, but that stupid dog just doesn't get it. i had to hide in the living room most of the time to avoid her. here's a pic of us in a crib.

this weekend seemed very long.. i went for a semi long walk on saturday, followed by a road trip to cayuga.. i met a few shi-tzus there, i nosed around in their food, drank their water, jumped on their furniture, made myself at home in their owners laps.. it was all around a good trip. i also checked out some new woods.. there were squirrels a plenty there. good times.

there is one room in this house that allures me..

i am not really sure what goes on in there, but everytime auntie B goes into the room with the wood siding on all the walls i stop what i am doing and run in there after her.. i try to jump on her lap to get a better look around, but she never picks me up even though i claw at her knees.... i'm going to get to the bottom of this... in the meantime i will keep diligently trying to cripple auntie B with my scratching.

well, i've been at my new home (auntie B's house) for a little over a week. it's been very nice here. i have my choice of sitting spaces, i prefer to sit on the sleeper sofa on my lambs wool pad. i am also loving the run auntie B made me in her backyard... i can chat with at least 5 different neighbors in the backyard.

last night i caught a mouse.. it was frozen and half dead and had wandered into my driveway.. i had it cornered next to the house. i would have eaten it for a snack if auntie B hadn't pulled me away.. it had crawled off by the next time i went outside.

last night i got a bath.. now i smell like coconuts.
